In 2016, E Hayes and Yellow Pencil began creating an exclusive range of limited-edition merchandise inspired by the stories, ingenuity and authenticity of the legendary Burt Munro.

The aim was never simply to create souvenirs. It was to give visitors an opportunity to take home a genuine connection to the place, the motorcycle and the remarkable Southland story they had just experienced.

Each seasonal addition to the Motorworks Originals™ range is designed exclusively for E Hayes, reflecting the originality of Burt's 1920 Indian Scout and the values that continue to define its legacy.

Today, those pieces have found homes in collections around the world, quietly carrying a little of Burt's story far beyond Invercargill.
