Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust

Brand is built on emotion, value and pride - and if ever there was an organisation that typifies all of those attributes and more, it's the Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust. 

Since 1989, the Trust has administered a professional air rescue and air ambulance service supported by highly trained paramedics, rescue teams and ground crew for the treatment and recovery of people needing urgent medical care and attention.

Since that time thousands of people throughout Canterbury and the West Coast have been sucessfully flown from accident sites and hospitals to critical care facilities by three rescue services : The Westpac Rescue Helicopter, the Solid Energy Rescue Helicopter (based in Greymouth) and the New Zealand Flying Doctor Service.

It's hard to believe that in a modern, industrialised society where the safety of it's citizens is of paramount concern, that such an important service as this must rely on the bulk of it's funding to come from business sponsorships and community support.
