Blackwell Motors

Blackwell Motors was established in Christchurch in 1923 providing vehicle sales and workshop repairs to the early motorists of the region. 

Over subsequent decades Blackwells has grown to become one of the largest independently owned motor companies in New Zealand and today represent the Holden, HSV and Isuzu heavy truck brands from their City and Sockburn dealerships.

In the highly competitive retail automotive industry, Blackwells recognise the importance of strong brand integration between the core values of the vehicle manufacturers they represent and their own dealership brand.

Yellow Pencil have worked with the company since 2000, to facilitate this integration in all aspects of the company's promotion, presentation, advertising and marketing activities.

Blackwells are the largest Holden dealership in the South Island, the only authorised HSV dealership in the South Island and also operate the largest dedicated truck sales and servicing facility from their Sockburn dealership.

In each of these sectors, Blackwells strive to continue and grow their market dominance through careful, planned and strategic management of their brand.
