One such company is Pope Print, a leading South Island printer, who have rebranded their operation to drive business from two distinct operating divisions.

In Timaru, where the main printing factory is based, Yellow Pencil created a bold new identity to enhance an operation which enjoys a strong reputation for producing top quality offset print solutions. The company has a seventy year history of producing printing in the region and has extended its operation to service the metropolitan business needs of the South Island's largest city, Christchurch as well as regions further afield.

In the highly competitive and print-saturated Christchurch market however, it became clear that the business offer needed to be substantially different to stand out and meet the needs of customers.

By iidentifying the characteristics of clients in this area - particularly advertising agencies, creative studios and corporate marketing managers - it became clear that 'service' took precedence over specific technical issues and yet another print-based product offer.

By building a brand identity around service and the extensive experience and awareness of the key front-line sales team, Pope Print's former sales division could operate under a unique and independent brand identity designed to highlight these attributes.

As well as Pope Print's own rebrand, Yellow Pencil created the new "Link" identity to present a focused and coordinated sales and service division of the Pope Print parent brand.

Together, each new brand identity has been integrated into a complete range of sales and brand collateral, targeted towards individual markets.
